Autumn Kisses

Autumn is my favorite time of year. All of the brown, orange, and neutral hues make my heart sing! I love balancing a rich color, like a chocolate brown, with diffused hues of the same color family, like this featured look. Espresso LipSense® is the perfect rich deep warm brown. I tend to lean toward matte lips during this season, so I added Hazel Matte Gloss a non-drying, wearable matte lip.

For my eyes, started with a similar rich brown, Garnet ShadowSense, over my lid. To soften and diffuse the color, I added the gorgeous Rust ShadowSense in and above the crease. A small amount of Dusk Shimmer ShadowSense in the center of my lid created a wearable, everyday halo eye! I finished the eyes with Rustic Brown ShadowSense for my brows, Black Brown eyeliner, and the best waterproof mascara.

I’m thrilled to have a found a foundation shade that works well for me. With the help of Rust ShadowSense on my cheeks and temples, my skin looks glowy and flawless!

For the love of pink

I used to shy away from the color pink, but that did not last long! I love pink, in all shades and hues. Not only is pink my favorite color, but it is also the color used to symbolize breast cancer awareness. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Breast Cancer is extremely common and will likely affect you or someone you know. According to the American Cancer Society, there will be over 275,000 new invasive cases in women, in the United States this year. I am surrounded by strong and resilient breast cancer survivors, and I am compelled to take action in supporting others in the fight. I will be donating a portion of the proceeds of all pink products purchased from me this month

not just for the holidays

Shimmers and glitters aren’t just for the holidays! Autumn is the perfect time of year to add a little extra sparkle and shine to your look!

For this look, I’ve paired one of my favorite shades Deep Burgundy LipSense with a fun golden eye! Radiant Gold Glitter ShadowSense, Garnet ShadowSense, and Onyx ShadowSense were used to create this radiant eye!

Not to mention, a little glitter and shimmer on the eyes are perfect considering we are all masked up these days!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Leading up to Valentine’s Day, I’ve created several different “Love Day” themed makeup looks, many of which have taken me out of my comfort zone. As much as I enjoy doing fun, creative looks, nothing beats a classic makeup look.

For a flawless base, I used Golden Tan & Suede MakeSense Foundation, and filled my brows with Rustic Brown ShadowSense. To achieve the soft glam look on my eyes, I used three neutral shadows that can easily be worn everyday: Americano ShadowSense, Rustic Brown ShadowSense, and Sandstone Pearl Shimmer ShadowSense. A quick glide of the ever so smooth Brown EyeSense Eyeliner Pencil adds a bit of edge to complement a great pair of falsies. For the star of this look, Ruby Red LipSense® gives you the perfect true red lip with the perfect amount of sheen. I finished with a high shine gloss, Glossy Gloss, to give me perfect pout that will last all day!

yes ma’am!

There’s nothing like a nice rich red lip, and Black Cherry LipSense® happens to be one of my favorites! This is a color that you can wear all year round, but it is definitely a hit in the cooler, winter months, pairing perfectly with my cozy teddy pullover! Topping this shade with a high shine gloss will ensure your lips are well moisturized, while still packing the punch of an all day liquid lippie.

Golden Tan & Suede MakeSense Foundation were used for a full coverage base application. I used a tinted moisturizer for a subtle contour along with a liquid illuminator for a luminous glow. For my eyeshadow, I wanted stick to warm tones while highlighting the rich red lip. Americano, French Roast, and Moca Java ShadowSense proved the be the perfect combination, and gave my eyes some great dimension.

You can pull this off, too

I had never worn black lipstick before, and honestly didn’t think I would ever try it. Then, I remember how I was said I would never wear black nail polish LOL. Black lipstick is something you CAN pull off. For starters, you’ll want to invest in Blackberry LipSense® to ensure it won’t flake, rub off, or smudge, so you can walk around confidently your new daring color. To tone down the black, I’ve added a sheer Red Glitter Gloss. After applying my foundation, contour, and highlight, I framed my face by filling in my brows with a cool-toned crème to powder shadow.

If you are going to go for it, I recommend keeping things lighter on the eyes. I stuck with a warm transition shade followed by a rich brown in my crease. I then added a small amount of black to the outer corners of my eye for a subtle daytime smokey eye. Lastly, a fun Champagne Shimmer shade on my lid to add keep a bit of brightness to my eye. Oh, I almost forgot that I added a smooth black eyeliner pencil to my waterline. I love how in this draws attention to my eyes, and will last all day!
